Building & BaLA Initiatives

BaLA focuses on using the physical school environment as a resource for teaching and learning. It aims to create a child-friendly, inclusive, and engaging learning atmosphere. The initiative incorporates activity-based learning, child-friendly designs, and inclusive education for children with special needs (CWSN). The architecture and design of the school are utilized to support educational processes.
Originally developed by Vinyas, Centre for Architectural Research & Design, with support from UNICEF, BaLA has been adopted by KVS to improve the quality of education.

Kendriya Vidyalayas focus on developing modern and well-equipped school buildings. This includes spacious classrooms, well-maintained playgrounds, and advanced laboratories.
